Lifelong Learning Center, financialy supported by DVV International (www.dvv-international.de), from Bonn, Germany from the funds of Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Development of Germany, in partnership with Adult Education Centre (www.cov.gov.mk) and under auspices of Ministry of Education of Republic Macedonia hosted the Third International Conference “Building Bridges in Adult Education” (http://pro.acs.si/gm2017/), which was held in Skopje on 25th and 26th of October.
More than 100 domestic and foreign experts and professionals from SEE region have participated at the conference. The conference was officially opened by Ms. Biljana Mojsovska, Director of the Lifelong Learning Center. The importance of the adult education was also stressed by: Ms. Katrin Frühinsfeld, Head of Cultural Department from German Embassy in Skopje, Ms. Nazihtere Sujlemani, State Advisor for education policies at Ministry of education and science Republic Macedonia and Ms. Lindita Qazimi, Director at Public Institution Adult Education Centre - Skopje as partner.
Adult Education news from participating countries Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro, were exchanged during the first day. During the second day participants in seven working groups were discussing seven different issues in the adult education. At the end of the conference common declaration from the participants was drafted and it will be finalized during the following month.
The conference was used for celebration of the 20 years’ work of DVV International in Macedonia. The conference was also on the calendar for celebration of the European year of adult education.
Next year hosting country of the conference will Croatia.
